Structured Art Education, where art meets psychology

Learn to observe,
Learn to create

ABOUT US
Suriatelier is a growing European art education brand founded in Germany.
Our independently developed teaching system combines artistic training, observation skills, creative development and psychological principles into a structured and inspiring learning experience for children, teenagers and adults.
Today, Suriatelier operates two teaching locations in Cologne, with further locations in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover and Amsterdam currently under development.
OUR METHOD
Our teaching system has been independently developed through years of educational practice and combines artistic training with insights from psychology and creative development. Rather than focusing solely on techniques, we help students learn how to observe, think, understand and create.
From observation and structural understanding to technical skills, creative expression and independent projects, each stage builds upon the previous one, creating a clear and supportive learning path. Whether a student is a young child discovering art for the first time, a teenager developing advanced skills, or an adult returning to creativity, our goal remains the same:
To nurture confidence, creativity, self-expression and a lifelong connection to art. Because learning to draw is not only about making pictures.
It is about learning to see.
Observation
Learning to truly see.
Every artistic journey begins with observation. Students learn to slow down, notice details, understand relationships and develop visual awareness.
Structure
Understanding form and space.
By studying shapes, proportions and three-dimensional forms, students build a strong foundation for drawing and visual thinking.
Technique
Building artistic skills.
Through drawing, painting and material exploration, students develop the technical tools needed to express their ideas with confidence.
Creativity
Turning ideas into images.
Students are encouraged to experiment, imagine and make creative decisions, developing their own visual language and artistic voice.
Expression
Finding a personal voice.
Art becomes a way to communicate thoughts, emotions and experiences through meaningful and authentic creation.
Growth
Learning through art.
Inspired by both art education and psychology, we use creativity as a tool to develop confidence, resilience, curiosity and lifelong learning.
Our programs
We offer structured art programmes for children, teenagers and adults.
Rooted in our independently developed teaching system, each programme combines artistic skill development, creative exploration and personal growth. Whether students are taking their first steps in art or pursuing advanced creative goals, we provide a clear and inspiring path for learning, expression and discovery.
